Cache County Jail Roster Status
The Cache County Jail Division is the local starting point for Cache County inmate records, but its public roster cannot be treated as an active online inmate search right now. The jail page lists both a current inmate list and an arrest-and-booking list for the last 30 days. Both sections state that the page is currently not available and direct users to call the booked-inmate information line at (435) 755-1227. That phone number is the primary local channel while the web roster is unavailable.
The Cache County arrest and booking terms also matter. Cache County says the roster is informational, unofficial, not an official legal record, and not updated more often than six times per hour when it is operating. The Sheriff's Office official record controls if the website differs from internal records. The current inmate list also excludes Utah State or Federal inmates housed at Cache County Jail, so a blank online result would not prove that a person is free, transferred, or never booked.
The official jail page below shows the local roster-unavailable notice along with the jail's visitor, mail, money, phone, and program sections. The page is the best source for current Cache County Jail operating rules before a visit or records request.
Because Cache County uses the same jail page for roster notices and family-service rules, custody confirmation and post-booking tasks often start from the same official source.
Use Cache County Inmate Lookup
Cache County inmate lookup is a fallback chain, not a single search box. Start local because a recent arrest, a short sentence, a court remand, or a local hold may be handled at Cache County Jail. If the county web roster returns, read the terms first and remember that the listing is not official. If the roster remains unavailable, use the phone line Cache County provides for booked-inmate information. For formal copies or historical jail records, move to the Sheriff's Office records request process under GRAMA.
- Open the Cache County Jail Division page and check whether the current inmate list or last-30-days booking list has returned.
- If the roster is still unavailable, call (435) 755-1227 for booked-inmate information.
- For official jail records, submit a GRAMA request to the Cache County Sheriff's Office Records Department.
- For a sentenced Utah prisoner or a person on probation or parole, use the UDC offender search instead of the county roster.
- For federal prison or immigration custody, use the BOP inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator, then confirm local physical custody through official channels.
Roster limit: Cache County's current inmate list is unavailable and, when restored, is described by the county as unofficial and excluding Utah State or Federal inmates held at the jail.
Cache County Roster Fields
No live Cache County roster fields could be inspected because the current inmate list and last-30-days booking list are unavailable. That is a research finding, not a missing detail. The county did publish enough notices to describe how the roster should be used when it comes back and why it cannot replace the Sheriff's Office official record. The field table below reflects the official access points and notices captured from Cache County sources.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmate List | Unavailable page | Unavailable | Cache County says the current list is not available and gives (435) 755-1227 for booked-inmate information. |
| Arrest & Booking, last 30 days | Unavailable page | Unavailable | The recent booking list is also unavailable and uses the same jail phone fallback. |
| Terms of Use acknowledgement | Notice/link | Required when roster is available | The jail page says not to use the current list unless the user understands and agrees to the terms. |
| Utah State or Federal exclusion | Notice | n/a | The current list does not include Utah State or Federal inmates housed at Cache County Jail. |
| Update frequency | Notice | n/a | The terms page says the unofficial roster is not updated more than six times per hour and often less. |
Cache County Inmate Record Fields
A live Cache County inmate profile was not available for inspection, so the page should not promise specific profile fields such as a visible booking number, housing pod, charge table, or bond amount. Cache County inmate records still have defined official paths. Jail records, incident reports, and releasable materials are requested from the Sheriff's Records Department. Filed criminal charges are checked through Utah court systems. State, federal, and immigration custody systems have their own field sets.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Not inspectable on Cache County's unavailable roster; provide accurate identifiers when calling or requesting records. |
| Booking number | Not inspectable online; ask the jail or Records Department if a booking number is needed for a GRAMA request. |
| Booking date/time | Not inspectable on the unavailable public list; official jail records are the better source. |
| Mugshot | Cache County says jail/booking photos may no longer be distributed and are no longer available to download. |
| Charges | Booking allegations should be confirmed against Utah Courts Xchange or the appropriate court after charges are filed. |
| Bond or hold | Verify through the jail phone line, the court, or the official bond-payment channel, especially when another agency has a hold. |
| Status or location | The public roster is unavailable and excludes state/federal inmates housed at Cache County Jail when active. |
Request Cache County Jail Records
Official Cache County inmate records are requested through the Cache County Sheriff's Office Records Department. The current records page says completed requests may be emailed to recordsrequest@cachesheriff.gov. The request form itself is older and prints recordsrequest@cachesheriff.org, so the current web page should be used first while preserving the form's printed instruction if staff direct a requester to use it. Mail requests go to Cache County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Records Officer, 1225 West Valley View, Suite 200, Logan, Utah 84321.
The records page states that requests are handled under Utah GRAMA as soon as reasonably possible, but they may take up to 10 working days. Active reports are not available until cleared. Some records may be protected, private, or controlled. The office accepts cash and credit or debit cards in person but not personal checks. Incident and traffic accident reports cost $10 per copy, jail records cost $10 for each 25 pages prorated, incident photos are listed at $25 on a flash drive, and body-camera video has a flash-drive and hourly fee.
The records-request screenshot below is matched to the Sheriff's Office records page in the image manifest. It shows why a request should be specific, with names, dates, incident or case numbers, the kind of record sought, and whether the requester wants inspection or copies.
That records process is the official route when the roster is offline, when a historical booking is needed, or when a person needs a copy rather than an informal custody check.
Cache County Custody Channels
Cache County Jail is operated by the Cache County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Chad Jensen, but not every person connected to Cache County will appear in the same system. Local pretrial detainees and short-sentence inmates are jail matters. Sentenced state prisoners and people on Utah probation or parole are UDC matters. Federal sentenced inmates are searched through BOP. Immigration detention is searched through ICE. A state or federal inmate may be physically held at Cache County Jail, yet still be excluded from the county's public current list.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | Key Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Recent Cache County booking | Call Cache County Jail at (435) 755-1227 while the roster is unavailable. | The public roster is not currently active. |
| Official jail records | Submit a Sheriff's Office GRAMA request. | Fees, ID, redactions, and processing time may apply. |
| Utah state prison or supervision | Utah Department of Corrections offender search. | UDC excludes unsentenced county-jail detainees. |
| Federal sentenced custody | Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator. | BOP does not cover every federal pretrial detainee. |
| Immigration custody | ICE Online Detainee Locator. | Do not assume ICE detainees appear on the county list. |
| Release alerts | VINELink or Utah victim-notification channels where available. | Notification tools supplement, not replace, official custody checks. |

Cache County Booking Records
Booking begins after an arrest, court remand, warrant pickup, or agency transfer brings a person to Cache County Jail. Jail intake creates or updates the official custody record, but the public web roster is not that official record. Staff handle identification, property, medical and security screening, classification, and housing assignment. A booking photo may be created for jail identification, but Cache County says booking photos are no longer distributed or available for download because of Utah's 2021 jail-photo law change.
No Cache County source gives a reliable number of minutes or hours before a new booking appears online. The terms page says the unofficial roster is not updated more than six times per hour and often less. That means a person may be booked before a public web entry is visible, and the current roster is unavailable anyway. Call (435) 755-1227 for current booked-inmate information, then use court records to confirm filed charges after the prosecutor acts.

Cache County bars food, drinks, cell phones, photos or screenshots during visits, explicit behavior, security-sensitive communication, and visits affected by protective orders, stalking injunctions, facility operations, or security concerns.
Contact Cache County Inmates
Mail to a Cache County inmate must include the sender's full name and complete return address. The jail mailing format is Cache County Jail, inmate full name, 1225 W. 200 N., Suite 100, Logan, UT 84321. Letters must be no larger than regular 8.5 by 11 inch paper or sent as e-message. Photos are limited to five per envelope, no larger than 5 by 7 inches, and must include the inmate name or name number on the back. Photos and non-legal mail are scanned, delivered electronically, and disposed after seven days.
Inmates make outgoing calls only. Calls are collect or prepaid through NCIC, and family or friends can create accounts online or call NCIC at 800-943-2189. To block calls from an inmate, contact jail administration at (435) 755-1000. Books must come directly from a bookstore, publisher, or retail outlet, and Cache County Jail does not forward mail for former inmates.
Commissary and Inmate Funds
Cache County Jail commissary is provided by CBM Managed Services. Orders are usually placed Sunday and delivered Thursday. Commissary can include hygiene items, writing materials, stamps and envelopes, food, and other approved items. Indigent packs are available to inmates without money on account, and commissary limits depend on the inmate's classification level.
Money may be deposited through the 24/7 lobby ATM, at the Jail Administrative window Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. except legal holidays, or online through JailATM. The lobby ATM accepts cash and credit or debit cards and charges a small fee. Money may be put on only one inmate account, and remaining funds are released on a debit card when the inmate leaves custody.
Note: Confirm custody with Cache County Jail before scheduling visits, sending mail, or depositing money for a newly booked person.
